Design Team Monday!

Today is the first Monday of the month.  September is here!  I cannot believe it!!

The Design Team has been hard at work/play creating with this month's Product of the Month - Crafter's Workshop Templates

These fabulous templates will create gorgeous projects! They can be used for creating your own backgrounds for layouts or cards. You can use chalk, ink, mist - whatever your preference or the look you are going for! Best thing about them is that they are plastic and clean up perfectly to be used over and over again! Another idea is to use your template as bling guidelines ... go where your imagination leads!

They come in a wide varitety of designs and in both 12x12 and 6x6 formats.

For the month of September these templates are 15% off!

This week we are featuring the Crafter's Workshop Templates.

Templates are fantastic and so versatile!! You can do so much with them and the Crafter's Workshop templates come in a wide variety of models for all tastes.

You can Spritz, you can stencil, you can ink with Chalk inks, you can ink with Pigment ink and emboss!! You can trace the shapes and doodle inside or outside them, you can cut them up, You can use modelling pastes or mudpodge or acrylic sealants to create «Ink-Resist» techniques!! You can use templates on everything, on T-Shirts, on the Walls, in the windows... This is another product that is so polyvalent, it makes its purchase more of an investment than an expense in my mind. Its possibilities are only limited by our imagination!!

In my example here, I created my own background with this simple ink resist technique: I used a white Bazzill cardstock to start. I traced areas of my Crafter's Workshop template, the Capricious model, with a permanent pigment ink pen; I then covered inside all the shapes with Glossy Crackled Accent. I let dry overnight. The next day I sprayed 3 different colours of Glimmer (Alcohol ink) Mists and sponged the excess ink with a paper towel. This removed the ink from the crackled areas, leaving them white. That's it! Very easy.

NOTE: The Crackled Glossy Accent is thicker than the regular Glossy Accent and therefore, apply the liquid only where you can with the bottle's nozzle, spread the rest (delicately drag the liquid) with the help of a needle for the very tiny detail. If you have air bubbles, you can burst them with the needle.
