Welcome to Quickutz Korner!!!!

Hi! My name is Kim and as many of you know, I am a huge Quickutz fan!!
There are so few that I don't own and although I have my "tried and true" favourites that I head for when I'm creating...I realized that I wasn't reaching for my 12" borders as often as I do some of my other dies.

And why not? I love the idea of creating my own borders and the shapes offered are pretty versatile and well...just delicious!!!!
Sooo...I decided to challenge myself and share my results with you!

I wanted to pick a border die and try to find a few different ways to use it...you know...a little more bang for your QKbuck!!
What can I say...it's the Scot in me!!! ;)

So this week I decided to play with the gorgeous new flourish from Quickutz...yummy just as it is....

and even yummier when you cut it apart...
Here I cut it in half and used it to follow the curve of the circle
And it's great one to layer with...
I've used the flourish border along with the cloud border die here...
LUV that cloud border too!!!:love

Or just use a piece of it...
Great way to use up some of the scraps!!

or use as a template...
here I've used the diecuts to create my own "mask"
I cut out the flourish border and adhered it temporarily to my white cardstock.
Then sprayed INK...that's right Turtles!!!

Maya Mist Inks to be exact...and ya know what???
It was super easy and kinda fun!!!

I then removed the temp dies to reveal the white space and just played!!!

Now...here is the fun part!!!
Show me what YOU can do with this die!!
And to help you out, we're offering 15% off the regular price of this die for the month
Upload your projects to the gallery and post the link here before month end for a chance to win some delicious blog candy.....mmmmm....QUICKUTZ candy!!! WAAHHHOOOO!!!
C'mon Turtles!!
Can't wait to see what you come up with!
I'll be back at the end of the month to check out your delicious creations...and to play with some more dies!!!
Waaahhooooo!!!!

July Sneak Peeks!

The beginning of a new month brings a new round of reveals from the Design Team. This month, we are playing with the fun & fabulous Bo Bunny!

We also have another fabulous Turtle joining us for the month as a Guest Designer. Please join me in welcoming Rhonda Gordon!

Hi there! My name is Rhonda Gordon (Disneyfan on the forum!) and I have had a love of scrapbooking for 13 years now!

I started scrapping when my first child was born (that’s Stephanie – many of you turtles know her!)…when my son was born 1 ½ years later, my love of scrapbooking simply grew!

My style and ability has grown over the years – my first attempts at scrapbooking are all of my two children in their very early years. All those books are in both their rooms and I love when I see them lying on their bedroom floors and I hear one of them say to the other “remember this?” or “I was so small” or “I used to love that”…that alone makes all the scrapbooking worth it!

Scrapbooking is a wonderful hobby that allows me to be creative and make lasting treasures of our memories in a way that makes it fun for everyone in our family to enjoy and help them remember! My husband has even been known to look something up in our scrapbooks to get the timing right!

I am a scrapbooker who most often scraps at home in my beautiful scrapping room but I really enjoy getting out to crops and classes when I can! I have met some wonderful people through scrapbooking – scrapbookers really are a wonderful and kind bunch!

I am very thrilled to be the July Guest Design Team Member – time to get scapping!

And now, let's check out everyone's peeks for the month...
