Friday is here!

It's been a week since ScrapFest and everyone at the store has been working hard to restore order to the pond!! Friday is here again and we are looking forward to a weekend of fun!

Tonight, is the first gathering of Stampaholics!! A perfect opportunity to get together with friends and get a little inky. If you think you might like to join, call the store and sign yourself up. We're stamping away from 6pm - 12am and the cost is $5.

Tomorrow, we are busy with 2 fabulous classes. The first is brought to us by the incredibly talented Bev. Participants will be making some cards using the super cute House Mouse stamps and colouring with the fabulous Copic markers!!Then, that afternoon the very fabulous Lori is teaching a mini-album class. "Oh the Places You'll Go" uses a combination of Acrylic and Chipboard album pieces and uses American Crafts Travel paper, Flair and ribbon.

And, how could I close off this post without making mention of our newest turtle in the pond. Sending a great big

CONGRATULATIONS

to Hannah & Bob on the arrival of Jack Thomas!!

Who has Turtle Pride?!?!

I'm sure you know what tomorrow brings....it's a little thing....you might have heard of it....ScrapFest is just about here!! And of course Scrapping Turtle will be there to meet all of your scrappy needs!! We're situated right inside the front door again this year so make sure you come by and see us!!

Oh, and be sure to wander the floor showing your Turtle Pride!! Break out those Turtle shirts, Turtle totes, paint yourself green, wear a shell - whatever you're feeling!!

Why you ask?!?! Well, besides the obvious reason of supporting the very best scrappy store there is you can win yourself a chance at some Prima goodies!!

Here's the scoop.....

For every purchase made at the Turtle booth or if you are spotted out on the floor showing that Turtle pride you can win a ticket!!

Why do you want one of these tickets?!?! Well, hold onto it and yours just might bring you some luck. SEVEN times over the course of the weekend we will randomly draw one of those tickets and grant someone a chance to scoop some Primas!! The winner gets 5 seconds to scoop all the Primas they can into a bag!! Seriously, who doesn't love Primas?!?! Anyone?!? Nope, I thought not!

So, get that Turtle gear out and win yourself some pretty flowers to scrap with!!

QuicKutz Collector's Series

Starting in June, QuicKutz will periodically release a limited edition Collector's Series die or die set! These dies will be manufactured in limited quantities only once and never re-ordered again! The Collector's Series is a new program aimed particularly at QuicKutz collectors where they "open the QuicKutz vault" and bring back a favorite discontinued product in a new, revamped collector's format. Unlike the standard silver dies, a Collector's Series product will have a unique color and come in special packaging.

The first product QK is bringing back is the quirky and fun Zelda alphabet. This long-time favorite was originally released back in 2003 in Classic size on 2x2 dies. As a Collector's Edition, Zelda will be bigger and better than ever, released in Grand size and on seven 4x8 dies with a retail value of $129.99.

In order to guarantee that you get this limited edition release of Zelda, call the store and pre-order today! We must have all pre-orders no later than 6PM on Thursday, April 9th!

Check out this layout that was posted in our gallery by Brenda Rowe. Please note that this features this previously released 2x2 version of Zelda. The Collector's Series version will be larger.

Wanna Win??

Don't forget to comment on this previous post for your chance to win 2 tickets to the Saturday Marketplace at ScrapFest (April 18th).

April's Product Highlight

We are starting a new program here at the Turtle. Each month we will pick one product to highlight and the Design Team will take some of the guesswork out of it for you. We will make it our mission to brainstorm ideas of how to use the highlighted product. This way, you can get the most out of your scrappy goodies without killing your brain power to do it.

This month we are highlighting the super fabulous In Stitch'z templates from Bazzill. I personally love these things!! I forget to bring them out as often as I should but always love the look I get with them.
Check them out here at the store!! When you need a little extra something for your project, go ahead and reach for these!!
We hope you like what we came up with and that it helps you see the versatility in this fabulous product.

Anne Marie
This is a first for me using In Stitch'z so it was fun. I used my silly stitch'z template. I penciled in the dots and used my stickles to draw.

Dee
I loved using these stitchz on my 3D item (not to mention my new Sassafrass kit)! I also think it would work lovely just poking the holes and putting the fake candle in there!

Mellissa
I had alot of fun using the stitchz on my LO. I added mini brads to mine and the effect was great.

Regan
I stitched and added Kaiser Pearls in the other holes.

Tracey
I chose to bling it up by using my flower template as a guide. I also used one of my border templates and did a little regular stitching.

Heather
I used my templates to do some Faux Stitching. I punched the holes and then used a Glaze pen to create the stitching. I also used the templates as a guide for doodling. I simply marked the holes with my Glaze pen or my marker, then joined the dots. For the flourishes around my title I only used a portion of one of the templates.

Alright, now it is your turn! We want to see what you can come up with! Join us over at the forum and load your projects up!! What?!?! You don't own any of these fabulous templates?!? Well what are you waiting for?!?! Get on down to the Turtle and pick some up!! Oh, and just in case you need a little extra enticement, for this month only, all the Bazzill In Stitch'z products are 15% off. Stop in and get yours today!!
