October QuicKutz Anonymous!

Another month...another QA class! Love these classes. Lori never fails to amaze us. Even when she is running on no sleep at all she is fabulous!! This month's projects were fantastic as always!!

First up is a gorgeous 2-page layout. The theme of course was fitting as it was Thanksgiving weekend!

Next is this month's incredible calendar pages....

And last but most definitely not least is the card where Lori showed us that we don't need to be afraid of the more obscure shapes. Here she rocked it out with the wishbone and tombstone dies.

If you would like to come out and join this fantastic Club, please see this post for all of the details or call the store.

October DT Sneak Peeks

Now that you have met the new team let's take a look at what everyone is playing with this month. October is all about the Dream Street!!

Tracey - This month I am having some fun with Superstition by Dream Street. Such a fun line with lots of cute die cuts and rub ons.

Mellissa - This month I am playing with Dream Street's - Nature's Poetry line. This adorable line also comes with rub-ons and chipboard to make matching embellies even easier.

Anne Marie - I think this has to be my favorite kit so far as for the paper!!! I love them all but this just rocks!!! I got to use the Dream Street paper- Urban Ink line along with die-cuts and rub-ons.

Marissa - This month I was given the Dream Street Wonderland line. Such pretty colours!!!

Heather - This month I am working with my favourite Dream Street Paper line --- Sam!!!!! I love this line!!!!! I love the Autumn colours and all the adorable owls The rub ons and chipboard shapes are fabulous!!!! For my sneak peek I thought who better to showcase with the Sam line than my sweet little Sam.

Vicki - I got Dream Street's "Merry and Bright" Line to play with and it is fab!!! I love the colours, they are great for the holidays, fall you name it.

That's it for today folks. Just a little peek at what is to come on the 15th! Be sure to come back and check things out!!

Meet the new Design Team!!

It is so hard to believe six months have gone by already! I can't believe it is time to announce a new design team. It has been an incredible term with the current team but sadly we are saying goodbye to a couple of members. Regan D'Agostino and Deanna Woodland are leaving us. :( Well, they're leaving the team - we know they will be sticking around to play in the pond with us. And this weekend, marks Regan's first card class at the store. Check out the current newsletter for all of the details on that. She made some beauties using some Cosmo Cricket yumminess.

And now though, let's look forward to the team that will be hanging out to inspire and play for the next six months. For those of you who join us on the forum, these names and faces will all be familiar. For those of you who don't join us on the forum - what are you waiting for?!?! Come on and play with us.

Okay, enough chatter.....please join me in welcoming the Scrapping Turtle Design Team....

Back for another six months as DT Coordinator is Tracey Gordon.

My name is Tracey or Mom2Maya for those of you on the forum. I have been scrapping for over 5 years now and am amazed at how my style has developed and changed. I love to scrap. It just makes me happy and seeing the pages come together is so rewarding. My 3-year-old and I love to go back and look through the pages I have created and chat about the things on them. Of course, Maya is never happy unless she is looking at a page with her on it!! :) That is why I scrap - to preserve the memories for years (& generations) to come. Being on the Scrapping Turtle Design Team is just a big old plus to that! I love the Turtle! It is my happy place and when I am looking for scrappy stuff there is no place I would rather go!

Also returning for another fabulous 6 months is....

Anne Marie Brenner

Hello!!! My name is Anne Marie, AKA “ Sisterbug”. I am a SAHM. I have been married to a wonderful man for 15 years. My son Cody is 14 and my daughter Darion is 13 years old. My family is the most important thing to me. It is a challenge everyday as is scrapbooking!

I love to spend time at our cottage. We all four wheel, dirt bike, snowmobile, hike, boat, fish and lots more. It is my time to enjoy family and friends there.

I have been scrapbooking for many years. It all began at a home show and progressed from there. I enjoy my scrappy time with my daughter, sister and niece. I also love to scrap with others either in person or on-line. It has been so wonderful to meet lots of new friends. I really enjoy preserving memories and the joy on peoples faces when they see my LO’s.

I am very excited to be a Design Team Member for the Scrapping Turtle for another term. The girls are wonderful to work with and lots of fun!!! The TURTLE GIRLS ROCK!!!!!

Looking forward to spending the next 6 months with everyone and let’s have fun!!!!!

Mellissa Tolch

My name is Mellissa. I have 3 children, 3 step-children and 7 grandbabies whom I totally adore. Having that many always gives me many pic ops, lol. I am raising 2 of my grandbabies so there is never a dull moment in my home. I have a wonderful man in my life that supports my love of scrapbooking completely. I started scrapbooking about 4 years ago. From then on it's been like a whirlwind for me. I jumped right in and started compiling my scrapbooking collections. Now that I have a huge supply of just about everything and anything I am starting to really look at what I have and try to make the most of it. I have learned a lot these last few years and am learning more every day. Im very excited to be a part of the Scrapping Turtle Design team. The last 6 months of my Design Team experience has taught me to think and do outside of the box. I hope to teach others some of the things that I have learned and hopefully gain more knowledge myself through doing that. I don’t really have a ‘style’ when I scrapbook. Whatever my mood is, is what I do at the time. You just never know what you might see, lol. A recent serious illness and heart condition has opened my eyes to what is really important in my life. Scrapbooking has become a huge part of my recovery so I plan to continue that and to scrapbook whenever I can. I am a very passionte person so I put a lot of that passion into my scrapbooking. I welcome the opportunity to share that passion with others and to inspire them to put their all into their love of scrapbooking.

And new to the team but not the Turtle family is....

Marissa Colwell

Hello my name is Marissa, and I am a scrapbook addict. I am addicted to Bling, and I am rub-on challenged. I have been scrapping for 10 years and my style has changed dramatically. But my reason for scrapping has stayed the same. My family, my children are my inspiration. Becoming part of the Turtle Design Team is pretty darn cool. My life motto is "Sparkle and Shine" so I think part of that makes it's way into my pages. I have been called many things, my favourite right now is "Queen of Bling". I am also known as M of the DReaM Diva's. (You may have heard us on occasion). You can find me on the Turtle board having fun swimming in the pond, with all the wonderful Turtles.

Heather Haggett

I’m Heather, aka SaraSamsMom. I’m delighted to be a member of the Scrapping Turtle Design Team this term and very excited about all the wonderful things to come. I live in Cambridge with my hubby Gary (my soulmate) and the greatest joys of my life - Sara who is three years old and Samuel who will be two on October 11th. They are my main scrapbook inspiration and make the most adorable photo subjects. I've been scrapbooking for about three years now, but I have been a scrapbook supply addict for many years. I love all things scrappy!!!! Gary is extremely supportive of my obsession, although I’m sure he wishes that I would “scrap more and spend less”. LOL. My family is my greatest joy, but scrapbooking is a close second. I enjoy learning new techniques, exploring new materials, and sharing a little piece of my heart in everything I create. I am honoured to be a member of this fabulous team, thrilled to be representing my happy place :) and looking forward to six wonderful months of inspiration and fun with my fellow Turtles.

And, of course, I cannot forget our Guest Design Team member for the month of October. You may remember her since she rocked it out on the DT a while back and we're thrilled to have her playing with us for the month.

Victoria Murray

Hello! I’m Victoria Murray, although no one ever calls me Victoria (except my Mom, when I was four and in trouble!)…so call me Vicki, please! I’ve always been a creative person; I even had my own jewellery studio until my daughter was born. I work part time a jewellery boutique and live in Toronto with my husband, six year old daughter and our guinea pig. I discovered scrapbooking almost five years ago at a home party and it felt like a match made in heaven. Scrapbooking is now my passion and my family is my inspiration. I love experimenting with new techniques and ideas. I work in traditional, digital and hybrid methods. I've been lucky enough to have been published a few times and have made some great friends, all thanks to this hobby. The Turtle is my scrappy home and I'm so happy to be the guest designer this month.

Come back a little later for a look at the new DT's sneak peeks for the month!!
