Design Team Monday!

This month the Design Team is focusing on a relatively new product in the pond - Tinted Tape by Vintage Street Market. This fabulous product is available in 4 different styles (Soot, Linen, Aged, Numbers) and can be the perfect finishing touch to all of your projects.

From the Vintage Street Market website.....

Why should tape be invisible? Give your special wrapped gifts and paper crafts a unique, decorative finishing touch with Tinted Tape. Use Tinted Tape as a trim to your crafted projects! Stitch through it, accent photo corners, use it as an embellishment. Visit our blog to see these techniques and more! Each roll includes 70 feet of printed cellophane tape on an easy- to- use dispenser. Acid free, and safe for projects.

Wanna give it a try?!?! For the month of August, Tinted Tape is $1.00 off!

Let's check out what the team did with this fabulous product....

Virginia

I had the pleasure of working with Authenique Blissful line and I am completely smitten with this manufacturer. The paper has such a beautiful weight to it and a texture that is hard to see from the photos but trust me on this one - it's fabulous!

The POTM is Vintage Street Tinted Tape - I had the Aged tape and I thought it would be tricky to use but once I started sticking it down I had a lot of fun with it. A lot comes in one roll so it's a good buy - for this layout I taped a piece of cardstock then used a border punch on it - it gives a nice shine without a lot of effort and no drying time.

Featuring the beautiful Authentique Paper - Wonder Surprise collection, and our Product of the Month: Vintage Street's Tinted Tape.

This tape is quite versatile. You can use it in a smash book, on cards or on layouts to hold your notes, images, photos. You can also use your imagination and create all kinds of fun ornaments. There are great ideas on Tracey's link above. I love the little black dress...

I used the Linen tape colour and print and I am showing 3 different ideas on my layout: The flowers are made of Tinted Tape over a dark brown bazzill cardstock, the photo is matted twice and the photo is taped with Tinted Tape over the first matting (which is the same colour as the second matting underneath the tape, and also, the belly of my little owl is taped with Tinted Tape under the Stickles. Although it's hard to see on the image below, the Tinted Tape gives a shiny finish which adds richness to the papers.

Keep in mind that the light colored tape looks better on dark surfaces and the dark coloured tape looks. better on light surfaces.

Papers: Authentique Paper - Wonder Surprise collection, dark brown Bazzill and a page from an old book.
Inks: Dark brown Chalk ink, Vintage Photo and Victorian Velvet Distress inks, pigment ink pen for the journaling.
Ornaments: Prima leaves, brown fancy ribbon and cotton measuring tape ribbon, homemade inchie, chipboards (laser cut) owl and butterfly, Stickles and lettering.
