I think I have almost recovered
I think I am almost back to normal - or whatever normal is !! I could not believe how exhausted I was after CHA. You would think that I would have figured it out - all the renovations, the time change, all the walking, the flights, late nights working on orders, spending Hannah's money - all that tires a girl out, and yet I am still surprised. Two days off in a row will make a difference. I had a huge sleep in today, did some scrapping, and just sort of hung out. By Tuesday, all of the major renos on our side of the building should be done and we will be able to concentrate on all the tweaking and finishing touches.
It was a lot of fun to be at the store yesterday and figuring out where everything was again. Its amazing how many things you put "SOMEWHERE" and now have to find.
If you follow this link to the forum http://www.turtlesoup.scrappingturtle.com/viewtopic.php?t=4327&highlight= you will see a list of the goodies that we picked up in Anaheim. We created a "COMING SOON" wall at the store of samples, so if you can stop in and check it out.
Trips like this give us lots of time to plan and plot out course for the next few months (or year) so we have lots of ideas in the making and fun events coming up. Keep your eye on the blog, the forum and the calendar to see what we have in store for you.
Thats all for now - talk to you soon
** We are closed Monday, February 18th in Observance of Family Day **

Message from stuck in cincinnati (store opens late)
Hannah and Lori are stuck in Cincinnati because their flight out of Los Angeles was delayed causing them too miss their connection. This means they will not be at the store until Friday afternoon.
Speaking of Friday afternoon -- the store will not open until noon tomorrow (Friday Feb 15) because of further renovations. We just found out that they are planning to sand down the floor right in front of the store in the morning, so the store will be blocked off while that is happening. They will be done at noon, so the store will open up at that time.
That is all I need to report! :)

Online Crop
Well with all the hype about the renovations being completed, Deanne, a member of our design team decided it was a great time for an online crop. This weekend ANYONE at Turtle Soup can post a challenge, and if you do someone's challenge post a link to your LO in the gallery in the thread.
All layouts must be made this weekend and uploaded by Sunday night to qualify for a RAK. They can't be combined with someone else's challenge here at Turtle. The posters of the challenges will then put the names of the participants of THEIR challenge in a hat and choose one winner. The winners should be posted sometime Monday.
Challenges could be scralifts, sketches, card challenges, altered project challenge, it's up to YOU!
So come and join us for a little online fun and get some layouts done!

They're Gone!!!
Lori and Hannah are off to Sunny California, and you know what that means... When the Cats are away the Mice will play! Bev and Theresa have decided that we are going to have a nice big sale to celebrate our brand new space! We are going to give you 25% off all of your purchases (regular priced merchandise)! They also have a whole bin of products They were stashing away during renovations, what Hannah doesn't know won't hurt her, so be on the look out for other great deals! Come see the new store and save! But hurry in, this sale ends on February 14th!

WE ARE OFF!!!!!
Just waiting for Hannah and Bob to pick me up to head to the airport. Sleep was minimal last night and what I did have involved some very weird dreams. Interestingly there were a lot of "Turtles" in those dreams. I hope that lots of you get a chance to check out the new and improved Scrapping Turtle this weekend (and upcoming week). We are anxious for your feedback. Just keep in mind that it is a work in progress with changes still to come when we get back - with lots of new goodies on order I am sure!!
I just wanted to take a moment to send out a huge thank you to everyone who helped make this renovation possible. Everyone was great to chip in and we really appreciate it. Hannah came through with flying colours in the "kept her cool department". Lynn Wolfe, the property manager for the building ROCKED in the "support and do anything to GET R DONE department". We hope to get her out to some turtle events soon. She is definitely an "addict in the making". Don and Joe-the maintenance men - who moved things and helped with floor plans and helped with some educational conversations. Teresa and Bev and our families, thank you for putting up with long, strange hours and increased stress levels. There were many hands involved in this - construction guys, fellow mill occupants who were inconvenienced, displaced etc, Turtles who moved and unpacked and relocated items - you are all the best. THANK YOU.
Thank you to everyone - and thank you to all the Turtles who made the need for this renovation possible!!! Here is looking forward to the next expansion (did I say that outload!!!)

WOOHOO!
It's done. Done done done! We will finally OPEN TOMORROW!!! It's been a crazy stressful week, and I am glad it's finally finished. We are sure you will love the changes! This is gonna be short and sweet because I have to go pack for CHA! Have a great weekend and go check out the new store!!! :)
All the king's horses...
So today was the day to start putting the store together again ... Well I guess technically I have to say yesterday since it is 1:30 AM. The carpet did not go in as quickly as expected, so we got a really late start. So unfortunately, we have one more day of re-organizing. *sigh* So the store will open on FRIDAY!! We are a little disappointed that we couldn't get it done as planned, but I figure only one day late is pretty darn good!! We will still have a ton of stuff to do when we get back from CHA, but its a start. We will still have some decorating, a bit of painting and moving around yet but at least the store will be open and functional! It is looking really good so far, we are sure that everyone will be pleased and excited about the changes. I even took more pictures to show the progress!
It's coming along quite nicely as you can see... and you will get to take in the full effect when you stop in this weekend to visit Bev and Teresa!
WE OPEN ON FRIDAY!!! WOOHOOO!!

Design Team Goodness
The Design Team posted their new creations! YUM! This time around they played with Fancy Pants Papers, Die Cuts & Transparencies, as well as Heidi Swapp Bling, and Adirondack Paint Dabbers.
Jasmine created this lovely layout... just gorgeous! Great use of transparency overlay!
Selena created this amazing layout, and one that I might just have to scraplift! I LOVE that calendar paper, and what a fun use of die cuts!
Dea created this fun layout ... funky size too! :) She created a fun and colourful title using the die cuts and cute little bling photo corners.

Is it over yet???
That's what I say everyday... Is it over yet? ... NOPE... *sigh*
The carpet comes tomorrow!! HOORAY!! We will find out how long it will take them to get it all down, as this is pretty much our last step... well excluding putting it all back together again! Why do I feel like my store is Humpty Dumpty?? eek. We are exhausted, to say the least. We excited for it to all be finished so we can get back to normal. If you can call us normal! HAHA.
Our PLAN is to have the carpet in on Monday and Tuesday, and to put everything back together on Wednesday. We would LOVE to be open by Thursday, we will definitely keep you posted!
Here are the pics I promised the other day! :)

It's coming along...
Renovations are coming along, it feels like an eternity but realistically we are almost done! Most of the actual construction is done, but there is still painting and carpet and such to finish. Fun fun fun. Then we have to move everything into place! I think come Wednesday we will be VERY busy putting everything away and back together! I do have more pictures to share, however my computer is not cooperating at the moment. I will try to upload them later this evening!
