It has definitely been a crazy week here, with 40 boxes of new product arriving! That's right FORTY! We were trying to get as much of it unpacked as we could and we will continue to work on it over the weekend. Even more stuff is due to arrive next weekend! I am not exactly sure where we will put it all but it is so exciting to see all the new stuff roll in!

And the excitement just keeps on happening

What a busy couple of days it has been. The polls are now open for the Record's Readers' Choice Awards. If you get a chance, we would appreciate a vote for us under Craft Store. Of course, you should vote in other categories, too, but we do appreciate all the support you have shown us over the last couple of years.

Hannah brought back a vehicle full of boxes yesterday! Watch your newsletter tonight or tomorrow for some very special deals. She has alot of work ahead of her tomorrow getting everything into the system so it can go out on the floor, then the work will be all mine making sure that the new product is available to all of our online customers.

We've had great reactions to the article in Canadian Scrapbooker. The demand was so high for copies of it that we sold out in 24 hours. More are on the way, so if you don't have your copy yet, watch for an announcement that it is here.

Oh, and I promised you some beautiful papers on Saturday. How about some Winter paper that is all shimmery and glittery too? The new Reminisce Frosted line is all of this. The glittered papers have white shimmer on the back. All of the papers in the line are shimmer papers, so they cost a bit more but are so worth it when you see them. The images don't come close to doing them justice. I guess you'll just have to come see us when you can.

It's been an exciting week here at the Turtle

With so many new product lines coming in, and two of our Turtles missing for the week, I finally managed to get some of the new stuff online. You will now find the Pink Paislee, Black Market Society, and Cornish Heritage Farm stamps online. I have also managed to get up all of the new Pebbles paper and kits, including their Colour Basics line. Check it all out when you get a chance. Next week, watch for a new line from Reminisce (it's soooo pretty!!), the new Tim Holtz Stamps and whatever else appears on our doorstep in the days ahead.

Thank you, everyone, for your overwhelming reaction to our Diva Crop for ScrapPink. It is already over half full!!! The Fall 2008 issue of Canadian Scrapbooker has hit the newstands. We have been anxiously awaiting this issue for sometime now... and keeping a secret...


Run... do not walk... to your issue of Canadian Scrapbooker (if you don't have one yet, stop in, we ordered plenty!!!) and check out pages 130-131 to see some familiar faces! That's right! Scrapping Turtle has been featured in the "Your LSS" article! We couldn't be more honoured! Thank you for all of your support!

Time is running out ...

for applying to be a member of our next Design Team. You've had a chance to enjoy the beautiful work of our talented group of scrapbookers. They've done a wonderful job inspiring all the Turtles in our pond. Now is your chance to showcase your work!

Our current Design Team term is beginning to wind down and we are looking for creative and enthusiastic scrapbookers to join! The goal in creating this team is to inspire and motivate scrapbookers of all levels and abilities. Only twelve days remaining to send in your applications!

Deadline for Design Team submissions will be Saturday, August 30, 2008 .

To apply, please send the following items to DesignTeam@scrappingturtle.com.
- Full contact information (Name, Address, Phone Number, Email Address)
- 3 layouts, 1 altered project and 1 card
- Names and links of online galleries/forums/blogs (and your username) where your work may be viewed
- Any prior or existing Design Team experience
- A short bio about yourself, your scrapping style and why you want to be part of our Design Team

Design Team Requirements:
- Complete 3 layouts and either 1 altered item or card set (3 or more cards) per month. All projects should feature QuicKutz. All items to be uploaded to DT gallery by monthly deadline.
- Choose one of your projects each month and provide written directions and photos for an online workshop. Focus should be technique or sketch oriented.
- Participate actively (daily) on the message board (Turtle Soup) by creating new threads, responding to threads, leaving comments in the gallery, etc. From time to time Scrapping Turtle may ask Design Team members to be more active for certain purposes both online and in-store (i.e. online crops, store events, etc.).
- Participate in Design Team discussions and online "meetings"
- Weekly Rotation of Design Team Responsibilities (Challenges, Question of the Day, etc.)
- Commitment to a 6 month contract term (October 1, 2008 to March 31, 2009)
- Exclusivity to Scrapping Turtle Design Team for length of contract.

All projects created for Scrapping Turtle Design Team are exclusive to the Turtle Soup Message Board and Gallery for the duration of your contract.

Scenic Route Surprise, that is. This colourful birthday/celebration paper arrived late last week and I just managed to get it onto the site today. Check it out there, or even better, come check it out in person in the store. Here's a taste for you.


While you're here, you can check out the 15 boxes of product that Hannah graced us with on the weekend. It is going to take a couple of days to get it online, but we have received the new Tim Holtz stamps, Cornish Heritage Farms stamps (are you sensing a theme yet?), Pebbles paper and kits and Pink Paislee have all been added to our store collection. I'm not sure where it is going to LIVE in the store, but for now it is on crop tables waiting for a home. I know there is more but the time has come for me to head for home. Vicki Boutin is Back!

I know you have all been waiting for this announcement (because of all of the emails I have been getting)!! Vicki Boutin will be back teaching at the Turtle on Sunday, September 14th! We are always excited to have Vicki come teach and we are super stoked about the new classes she will be teaching!

It has been a busy two days

but now there are many new products available online for your viewing pleasure. For those of you who are unable to just drop into the store, or if you just need a "supply fix" during your busy day, check out the website. All of the new QK arrivals are now online, along with the Dream Street papers and Imaginisce ... those cute Hallowhimsy and Snowy Jo products. Some of it was in very short supply when I got back from my short vacation. Now I'm off again for a couple of days. I just didn't want to leave anyone hungering for a look and unable to get their fix.
