They're here...

and you get to see them today. Saturday Hannah brought back boxes and boxes of QuicKutz Gift Sets and they are absolutely wonderful. I'm not a big one for spending money without lots of thought and deciding whether I REALLY need it or not ... but I definitely need some of these. We'll be having our "It's Midnight Somewhere" preview on Friday night. This event is open to all ... not just QK addicts or QA members. Join us from 6-9 on Friday night to make great projects using these:

We'll provide you with yummy snacks to enjoy. We would appreciate it if you could RSVP, but it is not mandatory - we wouldn't want to run out of something.

See you Friday!

Saturday came and went and no teasers! Sorry!! It's a lot of work lugging 27 boxes of goodies into the store! So you wanna know what was in them??

we have the new QuicKutz Spring Gift Sets all ready for our big release party on Friday!! You will not want to miss this fun fun fun party! We are having FOUR make & takes, did I mention these make & takes are 12x12 layouts? Cuz they are! Using the new gift sets, yumm yummm yummmm! Ok so we are just a tad excited about these babies, but they are just to die for, so come play with us on Friday night! (May 2nd 6-9 PM)

we have all the new Basic Grey papers in with chipboard stickers and rub-ons. Before we just had the collection packs, but now you can pick and choose if you wish ;)

Daisy Bucket is here with 3 new yummy lines. Summer Cottage, Playlist and Under the Boardwalk. Lori and I love the Under the Boardwalk line, yummy browns and blues. Plus we got the very yummy velvet elements. Can't wait to play with them!

Tim Holtz Cling Mount Stamps from Stamper's Anonymous are here!! I have never seen a product fly so fast! I think we sold through almost half of our shipment today, if you have been waiting on these, you may not want to wait much longer. We already have to re-order!

Little Yellow Bicycle Delightful is stunning! Oranges, Pinks, Greens and Blues make up this gorgeous line. The embellishments are to die for and are flying out of here faster than Zach's Life! This line will definitely not last long and we can't re-order! Get it while it's hot!

Piggy Tales 4 new lines are so fun! Cinderella, Mulan, Tin Soldier and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and awesome. I already nabbed my stash of Mulan and Cinderella. Twinkle Twinkle is perfect for the Rockstar in your life. Tin Solder is for all those train lovers out there. Mulan has a lovely asian flavor, and the dragons are just too stinking adorable!! Cinderella is a lovely combination of a peachy pink, tealy blue and green and lots of flowers. YUM! Plus Piggy Tales is now GREEN! Printed with soy ink on recycled paper. AWESOME!

Rusty Pickle Popstar is here. These are awesome black and white doodley design papers that we are just dying to go at with gel pens! Very fun and whimsical designs are just begging to be colored in using gel pens, perfect pearls or chalks. Fun fun fun!

7 Gypsies Nottinghill paper almost didn't make it past Bev! I never heard such squeals over paper. I am sure you will be seeing a class coming soon! Lots of fun stuff from 7 Gypsies like new ATC stickers, ATC transparencies and printed cards, new texture rubbings, and all sorts of goodies just begging to be altered.

I think that is all, there are so many boxes its hard to keep them all straight! Teresa has been busy loading new stuff onto the website so check it out often. See you Friday!

Meet the Design Team (Part Three)

Jasmine Roth

I have always had creativity on my side whether it be sewing, designing, scrapbooking or photography. I am a mommy to Charlise, Dominic, and Tyson aka chunky monkey. I discovered my true calling a few years ago when I became a professional photographer specializing in children and families. I live in Elmira, Ontario and am lucky enough to be a 5 minute drive from Scrapping Turtle. It is impossible for me to start my day without my Timmies and have a great husband who has learned that very quickly.

With many ups and downs in my life, scrapbooking became my creative outlet where I could just be me. It allowed me to express what I was feeling at a particular time, or at that moment. Special thanks to my friend Kerri who showed me how to create a hobby into an obsession. I am a total addict when it comes to paint, chipboard and rub-ons. I find it hard to create a "simple" layout. The brighter and bolder, the better for me.

What do I expect to gain from this experience? Well with all the wonderful inspiration in the gallery I want to think outside my box. Push myself to come up with great ideas and projects for every level of scrapbooker and even for myself. I Look forward to working with all of you and my hope is that I can also inspire you!

Kim Munro

Hi! My name is Kim Munro and I am so excited to be a part of the design team at Scrapping Turtle!! I barely remember life before scrapbooking (probably because it wasn't properly photographed and documented!) I am the proud mamma of two beautiful little girls who are the focus of my life and the inspiration for my scrapbooks. My husband Steve is "kinda" supportive of my all-consuming hobby which basically means he loves my photos and pages but hates the visa bills! I am an avid collector of all things scrapbook related and love all of the textures, colours and patterns that are part of this awesome hobby! I get so excited to see those brown boxes at the Scrapping Turtle, just knowing that they are full of new and exciting goodies to add to my pages!!

In addition to my family, I have also been blessed to discover a passion for photography and thanks to my husband, motocross! I love everything about it!! I have been racing for a number of years now and besides my love for the sport, it gives me a chance to play with those "boy" papers and embellies! I have always enjoyed photography and I love how well these passions of mine compliment each other, allowing me to challenge myself in a number of areas. Although my style tends to be fairly simple, allowing my photos to take centre stage, I still love the thrill of hunting for that perfect paper line or embellishments to help me tell my story.

After some serious health issues, I realized the value of documenting not only the events of our lives but also the feelings that I have for the people in my life. In a way, scrapbooking became a form of therapy for me. Through scrapbooking I have met some incredible people and made some wonderful friendships including the very supportive team of girls at the Turtle.

I have a very wise friend who once told me that "scrapbooks are meant to be shared"...and so thank you for allowing me the opportunity to share a piece of my life with you and I look forward to getting to know you a little better too! See ya in The Pond!
