A new month also means a new Product of the Month!

This month is all about the Ranger Accents - Glossy, Crackle & Enamel!  These fabulous products are perfect for adding finishing touches to your projects!  And for this month only, they are yours for $5.99 each.

Well, you all know how fond I am of my precious Glossy Accent.... I'm so fond of it and I know how much it resists to heat, I use it for glue all the time!!! On top of incorporating it to all kinds of projects, as you have seen on my previous layouts; I love the stuff for its beautiful glass like effect. Oh JOY this month!!!!!!!!! I had so much fun making this layout and my TPC Studio - Memory Lane paper collection is perfect for the Glossy!!!!!

I'm in Heaven!! Now, this is for the patient scrapbooker because you need to apply the Glossy or the Crackled or the Enamel Accents and then LET DRY overnight. But the reward for your patience is a luxurious shiny texture on your papers, you can make your own fancy ornaments or use it directly on your background, it's really fun! If you apply it thick like I do (not so much with the Enamel that is more liquid, but with the Glossy and the Crackled Accents), you can minimize the wavyness of the paper when it dries by glueing cardstock leftovers behind your paper before applying the Accents. In other words: Double your base before applying the Accents in a thick coat. That's what I did here and see, it's not too wavy at all.

And you can do fine detail with it of course, do the little needle trick I showed you with using Stickles, the Glossy/Crackled/Enamel Accents are the same as Stickles in their application.

Paper: TPC Studio - Memory Lane paper collection, Bazzill & textured brown cardstock

Inks: Midnight Black Chalk ink

Other mediums: Glossy Accents for the title on top of the layout, the key ornament etc..), Crackle Accents for the clocks and black Enamel Accents around the background frame

Ornaments: TPC Studio - Memory Lane Sticker, brown lace, Prima flowers, eyelets, a punched in cork butterfly and one homemade Stickles ornament

I wanted to do a monochromatic layout with this line as my papers are quite pale. I started with white cardstock and spritzed it with blue homemade glimmer mist. Then I layered the papers, frame and snowflakes. I used the Glossy Accents Enamel on some of the snowflakes and also on the chipboard snowman. I also stamped some flourishes and used the enamel to outline those as well. I placed some blue cardstock circles under the letter stickers to make them standout a bit more.

I have to say that these products are lots of fun to play with and add little finishing touches to your layouts. I had used Glossy Accents many times before but I had never used the other ones as yet.

Crackle Accents - I took a chance and put some on this pie die cut and was very happy with the results. It is hard to see in the picture but it really gave it a realistic pie crust look.

Enamel Accents - I covered this photo turn with the white Enamel and love the glossy look it gave it.

Glossy Accents - These are a long-time fave of mine. I added some to the corrugated heart and the "Sweet" letters to give them a little extra pop.

Here is my frame. I so enjoyed working with this!! I love the transparency!!!! I took 3 pictures to show you how you can see right through!! This is why, while I'm still a beginner, I decided on quilling. It accentuates the transparency effect.

Rub-Ons stick really well to the plastic!! You can pierce the plastic, I mean, the sky is the limit as to what you can do with these frames!!! And they will match any decor by picking up the wall colour!!

I first saw these frames back in April at ScrapFest Kitchener and I so fell in love with the samples Fancy Pants provided for the Turtle booth that I picked up a few of them! I brought them home and they have been sitting here ever since. This month was the perfect excuse to bring them out.

The first one I did uses my kit for this month and shows you that you don't have to stick to the intended theme of collections. This Christmas collection worked perfectly for this project as long as I was choosy about which patterns I used!

Today's project is created by myself, Tracey Gordon.  I am thrilled to be the Guest Designer for the month of October!!!

I can't tell you how thrilled I was to get this line to play with! I had previously picked up a lot of this collection and had already used up pretty much my entire stash. I did not, however, pick up any of the Breeze line (a girl has to draw the line somewhere), and am now so happy to be playing with it!

I put together a traditional mini album as well. I had so many pictures so I kept things pretty simple and let my pictures do the talking! I used some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist to cover my chipboard album first before decorating.

Today's project was created by Julie.

I chose to do a traditional mini album. And finally, I'm doing this project for me! It is still a work in progress that may continue for weeks to come as I add things to the mini...probably some journalling of moments with my daughter that I want to remember.

This paper collection is amazing and has so many flourishes and words incorporated on them.

Today's project is created by Virginia.

I don't normally "do" minis (the OCD part of my brain really likes to have all pages that fit into my 12x12 albums!) so this was a fun challenge for me - I loved focusing on one theme for this album and these papers by My Mind's Eye are just gorgeous!

For now I have just taped the pages together but in the future I may punch through them and use rings.

Magnetized Mirror for School Locker or Office

Of course Minis are always wonderful and greatly appreciated projects. But with a bit of imagination, you can do a lot more with your chipboard pieces.

These nicely shaped and sturdy Scrapping Turtle chipboard album pieces are perfect for this project: School Locker mirrors for my four nieces who are in High School and of course, sometimes I have a hard time giving my creations away so I made an extra one for myself to keep!

This is the back of the chipboards, it's sheet magnet:

Base: Scrapping Turtle chipboard album piece, one sheet magnet (pre-glued) and a thin mirror.

Papers: My Mind's Eye - Lost & Found Two Collection (Blush for all pink mirrors and Breeze for the teal one).

Inks: Plum, Brown and black Cat's Eye chalk inks.

Ornaments: All chipboards, paper ornaments and brads are from My Mind's Eye - Lost & Found Two Collection, pink lace ribbon also from the same collection, Prima flowers and leaves and one miscelaneous teal lace ribbon.

Other: Glossy Crackle Accents and acrylic sealant.

... That's right!! No Stickles used, the papers are already embossed with bling!!!! These My Mind's Eye - Lost & Found Two collection papers are gorgeous folks!!!!!! It's hard to photograph a mirror... These pictures had to be taken from a sideways view and they do not give the wonderful papers justice unfortunately.
